A Personal Journey of Resilience - About Kevin And Sally.

In December 2008, Kevin faced one of the most challenging times of his life. The company he worked for, a subsidiary of Woolworths, shut its doors, leaving 30,000 employees, including Kevin, redundant. The final salary pension scheme went into the Pension Protection Scheme, and Kevin’s notice period—like all contracts—was rendered null and void. Despite pursuing legal action and winning the case, he was left with a token payment that barely scratched the surface of the losses, £34!

During this time, Kevin also endured the loss of his mother and father-in-law. Yet, in the face of these adversities, he made a decision: he would not be a victim. He took control of his life, invested in training to fill the gaps in his knowledge, engaged a coach, and surrounded himself with a supportive, positive community. Through resilience, knowledge, and the right mindset, he rebuilt his life, achieving success beyond anything he had dared to dream of. Now he is here to help you do the same.

Sally’s Journey to Sally’s Koru Connections

Sally’s story is quite different from Kevin’s. Initially, the plan was never for her to join the business. Koru Connections was meant to replace Kevin’s income and give him something meaningful to do. Sally had always maintained it was impossible for the pair of them to work together. We can now help couples in similar situations !

Sally, a dedicated primary school teacher for 24 years, had also worked as an Estate Agent
, rising from a weekend staff member to managing a bustling office. Her passion
for teaching was undeniable, but everything changed when her long-standing
headmaster retired and was replaced by someone whose values didn’t align with
hers.

Facing a challenging professional environment, Kevin and Sally took a closer look at their business and realised it could sustain Sally’s income. This discovery marked a pivotal moment—Sally decided to join the business. Together, they realised that they no longer needed to stay in Surrey. This newfound flexibility allowed them to relocate to their dream
location on the South Devon coast, where they could focus on growing Koru Connections and building a life they love.
